The Keeper is a limited-edition unisex knitted football jersey by Washington Roberts, created as Chapter I of The Keeper’s Son collection.
Inspired by designer Washington Roberts’ childhood memory of discovering his father’s goalkeeper jersey in Nigeria, the style reinterprets the traditional football goalkeeper shirt through the contemporary design language of Washington Roberts.
Crafted in 12-gauge mercerized cotton knit, The Keeper features a relaxed oversized fit, an embroidered Washington Roberts crest with teal detailing, tackle-twill number appliqué, direct-embroidered player name, contrast raglan piping, and double-knit rib finishes at the neckline and sleeves.
The 01 numbering represents the goalkeeper and the origin of The Keeper’s Son story, connecting football heritage, Nigerian memory, family, identity, and contemporary fashion.
Designed as a unisex piece, The Keeper can be worn as an oversized knitted football jersey or styled as part of a contemporary menswear or womenswear wardrobe.
